Copyright Policy
This Copyright Policy explains how to tell us about alleged infringement on Flair and what we will do.
1. Your content and other people’s content
You keep the rights in what you post. You must not post material you do not have the right to use. That includes videos, music, photographs, artwork, and trademarks.
2. How to send a notice
Email copyright@useflair.app with “Copyright notice” in the subject line. Include all of the following:
- your name and a working email address;
- a description of the work you say is infringed;
- the exact location on Flair (note link, username, or enough detail for us to find it);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, their agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
We accept notices by email. This is a UK-style notice-and-takedown process. We do not currently publish a street address, and we are not a designated agent in the US Copyright Office DMCA directory. We are not claiming the US DMCA safe harbour. If we later need a postal address or a registered US agent, we will add them and update this page.
3. What we do
If the notice is complete, we will remove or disable access to the material we reasonably believe is infringing, and we may tell the user who posted it. We aim to act promptly. Repeat infringers may have their accounts banned.
4. Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, email copyright@useflair.app with “Counter-notice” in the subject line and include:
- your name and email;
- identification of the material that was removed and where it was;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- consent to the courts of England and Wales (and, if you are in the United States, to the federal district court for your district) for disputes about the content;
- your signature (typed full name is enough).
We may restore the content if the original complainant does not seek a court order. We are not obliged to restore it if we still reasonably believe it breaks the law or our terms.
5. Other intellectual property
For trademark or impersonation issues that are not copyright, email legal@useflair.app or support@useflair.app and use the in-app report tools as well.
