Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines say what is and is not allowed on Flair. They sit alongside the Terms of Service. If something is illegal, it is not allowed even if this page does not name it.
Flair is meant to feel like sending a short note to people you actually know — not a popularity contest. There are no public likes and no public follower counts. That does not mean anything goes.
1. Child sexual exploitation and abuse
Zero tolerance. Any sexual content involving anyone 17 or under, any sexualisation of minors, and any grooming or attempts to obtain that content, are banned.
If you see it, report it in the app using Child sexual exploitation. We treat those reports as the highest priority. We take the content down when we become aware of it and report it to the UK National Crime Agency (or an equivalent authority) as UK law requires.
Do not use Flair to contact anyone under 18 for a sexual purpose.
2. Sexual content
Pornography, graphic sexual activity, and sexual services are not allowed for anyone, including adults. Suggestive jokes between consenting adults are not the same thing as porn; if you are unsure, do not post it.
3. Suicide, self-injury, and eating disorders
Do not post content that instructs, encourages, or shows people how to suicide, self-injure, or starve or purge. If you are in crisis, seek local emergency help or a crisis service. You can report this kind of content in the app.
Talking about recovery, or asking for support in a non-instructional way, is not the same as posting a how-to. When we are unsure, we will take the content down.
4. Harassment, hate, and violence
Do not bully, stalk, threaten, or pile on. Do not post hate directed at people because of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or similar characteristics. Do not post realistic gore or content that encourages violence against real people.
5. Illegal and restricted activity
Do not use Flair to sell or promote illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods, or other restricted items. Do not post scams, fraud, or malware. Do not impersonate another person or a brand in a way that would fool a reasonable user.
6. Other people’s rights
Do not post other people’s videos, music, or photos unless you have the right to. Do not film people in private places without their agreement. Respect the privacy tier on notes shared with you.
7. Spam and manipulation
Do not run fake accounts, engagement schemes, or repetitive promotional posting. Do not scrape Flair.
8. Nudity
Non-sexual nudity (for example art or education) is judged in context. Sexual nudity is not allowed. We will remove content that is mainly sexual.
9. False information
We are a small service and we do not run a newsroom. We may remove content that is clearly intended to cause serious harm through deception (for example medical or election hoaxes designed to injure people). Ordinary disagreement is not a removal reason.
10. How the feed works
For You and Explore show public notes. Ranking uses things like who you follow and whether you finished a note. It does not use a public like count, and we do not sell ranking. The Friends feed tab shows public notes from people you follow. Friends-tier notes still require a mutual follow.
11. What happens if you break the rules
We may restrict, remove, or escalate a note, and we may restrict, suspend, or ban an account. Appeals are explained in Reporting and Appeals.
Report using the in-app report options, or email support@useflair.app. For copyright, use copyright@useflair.app and the Copyright Policy.
